Shnider for Council Campaign Reports Record Fundraising Number
Fueled by nearly 500 donors, Shnider’s District 3 campaign raises $153,335

Rockville, MD - Progressive challenger Ben Shnider has reported raising over $153,000 from 478 donors in his campaign for Montgomery County Council, District 3. The vast majority of the campaign’s contributions totaled under $100 and Shnider has not accepted any contributions from corporate entities or corporate PACs. The report reflects a decisive fundraising advantage in the District 3 race, demonstrating the momentum behind his agenda for change.

“I’m humbled and energized by the momentum our campaign is garnering. We are building a movement for progressive change in District 3. I’m proud that nearly 500 individuals have invested in our campaign, and that -- day-in and day-out -- dozens of volunteers are coming together to help us organize communities across District 3,” said Shnider.

The campaign also earned the endorsement of 32BJ SEIU, the largest property service workers union in the country, earlier this week. They join Unite Here Local 23, Montgomery County House Delegation Chair Shane Robinson (D-39), and Delegate Andrew Platt (D-17) in supporting Shnider.

The primary election is scheduled for June 26th. Early voting is June 14th-21st.
